Because people, especially teenagers, especially from 3rd world countries, are guillable and this sphere is lucrative - this, as you already specified, don't require too much effort for creating "content", plus it's somewhat scalable (you can sell more courses, promote your channels and so on). The main disadvantage is competition - a lot of people wanna do the same.
