the malar region or upper maxilla is recessed / giga recessed (lack of zygo or maxilla giving support to the lower eyelid, forming canthal tilt and compactness of the orbital)

exceptions to the rule:
their medial canthus' are sharp, but have low esr
in both of these guys, their medial canthus' are sunken, which is the lacrimal bone, but they still form a sharp angle
in the case of the first guy, his eyes may be close set, but they take up a considerably large % of his face: this indicates a large/broad and projected ethmoid, but only relative to the rest of his skull
but he also has a lack of malar, hence the lack of canthal tilt and droopy lower eyelid, so why is his medial canthus a good shape? it is only because of the large ethmoid complex (upper maxilla aswell): the lacrimal has more support from the ethmoid, and the medial canthus has further concentration to a point, making his sharper than the guys at the start of the thread
okay, but what about the second guy? his eyes are tiny and close set, but his medial canthus is still sharp?
this is because of his malar and upper maxilla, notice his very high and supported canthal tilt, this also gives more support to the lacrimal bone, giving his medial canthus its sharp angle
but keep in mind, we are only talking about its sharpness, not the projection of the actual lacrimal: these guys still get tera'd in that regard by the guys above
