If you have a wide face it is either due to fat on the face or it could be the bones. From what i’ve researched it seems buccal fat removal is usually not a good decision as it can cause more aged look and unnatural
I think in general a slimmer face is better. Asians tend to have wide cheekbones and there is malarplasty/cheekbone shaving/cheekbone reduction (all the same thing) to reduce it
It can go really well OR really bad. example of a very good result with cheekbone reduction
And a horrible descenSION from Chang to LTN. He got cheekbone reduction and mandible reduction and removed his strong qualities that made him handsome before. He shouldn’t have gotten cheekbone reduction because his cheeks weren’t even that wide esp compared to the above guy, in fact in the before pic he has a slightly narrow face already, which imo was perfectly proportioned so he ruined his face
One thing to consider with cheekbone shaving is that it primarily reduces forward cheek bone projection but not so much width.
Width is the primary issue you want to address is my theory - if your face is too wide.
Before we begin discussing the cheekbone reduction surgery, there are actually various cheekbone areas that you need to know. The various parts of the cheekbones are commonly known in Korean beauty as the front cheekbone, 45° cheekbone and side cheekbone. Someone with a protruding side cheekbone will look very different from someone with a protruding 45° cheekbone or front cheekbone.
Imo the middle pic below looks best. Only the side cheekbone part was reduced, the forward and 45 degree parts weren’t touched. The left may be a bit too protruding for some, others may like it. Asian cultures have an obsession with softer features and prefer the right pic, but western preferences are for sharper angular pronounced cheekbones and features and personally the right pic looks way too soft and usually worse when guys do it like this
Thoughts?
