wider jaw at lower bf

yes ik lower bf makes jaw more angular and defined
but why does it make it appear wider? wouldnt the fat ontop of jaw make it look wider and at lower bf appear less wide?

I thought like this:
If u have big zygos and u get lean, ur jaw will look narrower when u get lean since ur cheekbones have less fat on them than ur jaw which makes them reduce less in size compared to ur jaw area when u get lean
And if u have shit zygos then the opposite happens
I might be thinking wrong tho

could be the opposite tbh.
since cheekbone is the widest part it will look like they have less fat than jaw, and when you lean down jaw will look wider while cheekbones look the same? idk
