Who has the widest recorded PFL? Also, the PFL must be measured exactly from the medial canthus to the outer canthus.

How would we know this? Iris measurement method or whatever it's called is, as far as I know, the only way to obtain measurements from any picture. Apparently every human iris is of the same or very similar diameter, but I haven't seen anything confirming this, nor have I seen a value assigned to it. Even if human irides were of similar diameter, a one-two mm difference would change everything since we're already dealing with mms when considering PFL, IPD, etc.

Or is there some other way I'm unaware of?

Tbh you are right. The slightest deviations can cause wrong measurements. Although there should be a person who’s eyes are obviously insanely wide.

No idea tbh since our perception of PFL is also affected by PFH so someone would have to manually sift through thousands of faces like a true autist to find out.

Dunno but it's definitely a bbc or an acromegalic case.

salih's pfl is 29-30 mm using iris method. I still think ruler method is supreme, too much incosistency and variation using iris method. On some pics he's even 28mm or 32mm. Plus you can't even see his lateral canthus, it's hidden by his eyelashes, which is why a ruler, caliper, tape measure in the mirror with opening your eye makes sense.

I don't open my upper ehelid enough so jt's hard to tell for the outer scleral triangle.
I have one of the highest pfl among manlet.
Hehe.
I will do a lateral canthopexy once my maxilla would be driven forward from modified lefort 3, and have an unmogable eye area (only ipdmoggable by gandy and o pry)

Your PFL looks wide as fuck as well. Measure it with a ruler.

I'm not good at using the iris method but my ipd is at 67 exactly irl (slightly more but less than 68).
can you measure my pfl ?
(iris method is so hard. A slight excessive zoom in and the measurements are wrong).

I have no idea how to use the iris method tbh nor is it a good way of measuring IPD or PFL.

I noticed pfl is among people opening their eyes a lot. Maybe it could be an adaptative lengthening of the orbicularis occuli ?
The more you open your eyes, the more the orbicularis occuli that has to close your eyes is stretched.

big outer canthus changes are possible, but they look autistic if you lack of inner canthus.
For the inner canthus you can still theorically widen your inner scleral triangle, but it's only performed on deformed people as manipulating the inner canthal tendon is difficult.
But Z plasty can still give a widening effect, but the sclera won't be wider, it's just the red part.

“The orbit skeletal changes in a period of 19–24 months in a sample of 11–17 year olds were statistically significant, but are not considered to be clinically significant. The overall average changes of orbit measurements were less than 1 mm.

Their findings suggested that orbital growth occurs more significantly during the first 2 years of life and especially during the first year of life [4]. Furthermore, their findings suggested a steady pace that carries on until growth parameters reach 85–90 % of their adult size around 8 years of life [4]. Since the pace of orbital growth slows past 8 years of life, further growth analyses would be beneficial to determine the stability of the orbits in later years for orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning as mentioned before”

In other words, significant growth happens in the first couple years of life, it is almost fully grown by 8 years, and insignificant growth takes place up to 17 years.

This is still being researched so definite conclusions shouldn’t be drawn.
