"It’s not only the skin that will benefit from treatment with ice. Actresses including Liv Tyler have been rumored to use ice to keep their hair looking perfect. Ice tightens the cuticle that encloses the hair shaft where it meets the scalp. Start by applying the ice cube to the scalp with gentle pressure. Then move it down the shaft of the hair."

"Using ice has also been reported to help reverse hair loss."

Just did this after rubbing ice cubes on my undereye area which had darkened just a little. The ice totally eliminated that under eye issue but I don't get that bad like some people. Still it was crazy it did that so quickly.

How the ice cubes freeze your scalp is no joke. Had to endure some pain there but I could feel the circulation apparently improving after applying the ice like it was clearly doing something. If cold showers increase oxygen flow to the hair follicles I would assume this would even have a stronger effect and maybe prevent a lot of future hair loss in people that weren't destined for Norwood 5 and above.

There are ice caps to relieve migraine, you could try one daily and report if your hair is better after a while...

I think Chemo patients are now freezing their scalps to prevent hair loss but I think it works by keeping the stuff mostly out of the hair cells.

I just started a while back with them and think they may help but they probably won't do much for the person that is destined for Norwood 5 and above. I think the people that don't start thinning until later in life may be able to save their hair by loosening the scalp up and decalcifying it etc. In theory I think this might improve blood flow to flush the area out kind of like icing under the eyes apparently does.

Yes, it slows down the circulation so the chemicals stay out, scalp massages and exercises that some people report can slow down hair loss work by increasing the circulation and bringing more blood and nutrients to the hair follicles...

That is why I am taking ice and trying this some to see if it might help also. by additional bllod flow and flushing of toxins. I see why icing never really took off though because its no joke the freeze your scalp gets from it. I might just do it a few times a week for a month to see what happens.
