will a palate expander help lower third width

i’m going to the orthodontist my maxilla is fine but my lower third is a bit narrow should i try get a palate expander or will it do fuck all

it can effect teeth to give the appearance of a wider lower third

how old are you? you can look into MSE, its more aggressive than normal palate expanders

it will make it worse, your palate will expand but lower jaw stays the same. it will make it look even smaller in comparison

im pretty sure expansion wouldnt make that big of a difference anyways

so just do your own research, go for a consultation first, they might have some alternatives

im 16 too and my maxilla is recessed, not brutally, but recessed, combined with a head to head bite. Is there any hope for natural growth? If not and probably anyways im getting a LeFort I at 22, its covered by insurance then hopefully (becuase of the head to head)

your sutures might be partially responsive

I remember this one guy ronald ead or something, he got MSE and facemask as an adult and according to him it worked pretty well

try tracking him down and asking about his own personal experience and where he got it from

if it isnt recessed brutally, I dont see why youd get surgery for it lmao

this platform ong makes even attractive dudes feel like dalits

so according to him the mse gave him considerable expansion, but facemask didnt do shit

so i dont know man, youre 16 just go for a consultation theyre really cheap

thats gonna give a much better array of your options than dudes on here ever will

nothing you can do besides surgery, js ask ortho if u can do anything for ur narrow lower third

MSE is for maxillary width, mine is just set back. Facemask might be plausible and I have something scheduled, I just have to cuck the doctor and tell him im not letting him set my lower jaw back instead of bringing the upper one forward. But I dont think MSE will reallly do alot for me.

well because I dont want to be an mtn anymore if the only thing really fucking me over is my maxilla (and ramus, but thats honestly not as important). All the issues I have with my face come for the maxilla, if you cover my middle third you could rate me lhtn-htn, with it im mtn max.

if you just wanna find love or something then you arent hindered, you arent ugly, you arent deformed, youre more than enough

nicest guy on org, thanks. I mean they will just see some eyerings and a longer face, they ofc wont see a recessed maxilla but its effects. I mean thank you alot anyways, ill try my best to have a normal life, see what the surgeon says at my consulting and maybe get a LeFort I at 22 or something. I hope I dont need to anyways, have a good day.

yeah exactly man

its not unhinged to feel conscious about facial features or even hyperfixate on them

you just have to understand that when you can name a 100 different things you dont like about yourself, the average person wont even notice/is only gonna be able to name 2 or 3

that isnt a deal breaker for anyone

tall faces are generally pretty attractive anyways

if your lower third balances things out then why are you even worrying lol

because the facial beauty standarts are fuuucked, even if you have high PSL you get described as average by everyone, if you arent hhtn-lcl your basically average for everyone even if average would be hltn. Although im not racist at all it pisses me off that in my country the beauty standard for my age is arab heritage or general anti-social behavior, a hltn afghan gets the same treatment as a white htn even if they have horrific personality. Some of my closest friends are kurdish etc and they are actually good people and good looking but they arent gangsters or anti social so they also get no play.
