will bite turbos mess my face up?

I recently got by bottom braces on and had bite turbos put on so my top teeth wouldn't hit my bottom braces.
I'll attach a pic showing how far apart my bottom teeth are from the top (I know my teeth are yellow im working on it)
I'm wondering if this will hurt my facial symmetry or maybe even help it because my teeth won't be touching. The orthodontist had to put more bite turbo on one side of my teeth because my jaw is so asymmetric, also maybe this will actually help?
If you dont know bite turbos are these things they put on your back teeth to keep your teeth apart so you dont hit your teeth on your brackets, I'll only have them for a couple months I think tho.
