my chin looks recessed bc i have an extreme overbite. should i fix this with braces? if not what else?

i dont know much about braces but if they are gonna pull foward it will most likely positvely affect your profile but if they pull backwards gonna have negative effects

It depends how the ortho sets the band placement but generally yes, they can limit growth/ recess you by 2-4 mm

I assume class 3 elastics will recess the mandible while bringing the maxilla forward while class 2 will do the opposite. In either case the recession of either is unwanted.
