I replied wrong, thought it was a different thread sorry but yeah it will fix overbite but I think it's somewhat dependent on the issue causing your overbite

People do not realize that your dentist determines the effect of the braces on your face (not in all cases since sometimes he just can’t do it out of risking your teeth etc). If your doing braces and you ask your dentist if he can adjust it for more forward growth for example at most cases he can approve but the changes will be very small. I asked my dentist if he can adjust my braces to widen my palate a bit and he said yes.
