i got crowded front teeth at the bottom and as long as im younger than 16 i can get it fixed for free. will this recess my mandible?

No, but only if you go to a good orthodontist and do what he/she says. Look for one who works with maxillofacial surgeons, but make sure there are good before and after pics (of non surgery patients).

I'll go to an ortho that's also a uni teacher so i guess im in good hands

gotta see before and after majority of them are just butchers who just care abt teeth and not face overall
