Will braces widen my lips?

i have a very narrow upper arch but they say my pallet itself is wide enough , is this the reason why my lips are on the narrower side especially when I rest my face completely , can braces fix or improve this? or should i get into MARPE or SARPE is it worth it?

Why do people treat braces as something arbitrary holy shit. Everyone get braces for different reason so the effect on your facial bones will be different for most

Space is being created. My orthodontist said my palate itself is wide enough, but my upper dental arch is narrow. They plan to make space by expanding the arch with braces. I was wondering if that could improve lip support or lip width at rest.
