will class ii elastics fix my recessed chin?

Im 13 and my orthodontist recommended me class ii elastics for my 5mm overbite and my chin is recessed as fuck and i was wondering if it would make my chin look atleast a little less recessed

It kind of does help a bit but it won't fix the recession just creates the illusion of it cause of the forward growth.
