Will crooked bottom teeth cause a recessed jaw

If my bottom row of teeth are more caved in a bit, do you think my chin will looked less recessed if i used a palate expander on my lower jaw?

i don't think you can use a palatal expander on the lower jaw as there isn't a suture on the lower jaw -- no change in the jaw, only the teeth
