say one tooth on your lower palate starts crowding, does it make the mandible more narrow?

no it just means the jaw was already too narrow to compensate, leading to the crowding

what do they acc do?
They expand your dental arch, and widens your smile to fit better with your mandible & maxilla. It basically effectively widens it to fit your dental arch through how the wires are, and these braces don’t use elastics.

Get a marpe dont get braces if you have crowding they will most likely extract

You can’t widen/expand your mandible, but this is also a good approach. If your mandible is narrow chances are your maxilla probably is too. Marpe/Maspe/MSE etc are only for your maxilla. FME is the best expander atm but it costs as much as a bimax.

Expander + damon braces

Yeah, everything regarding the mouth + appliances, you’d need to go to the orthodontist for it. Preferably go to an airway orthodontist, not the cosmetic orthodontist.

Sorry, forgot to mention, there is MSDO for the mandible but I don’t know if anyone on org has done it because you have to cut the mandible in half since there isn’t a suture.

i forgot to mention i’m 17 now and had braces for 1.5 years from 12-13 but didn’t wear my retainers so i have one tooth which is actually off course on my lower palate. damon braces is all? nothing else needed?

i can pm a pic if needed

Sure!

I would say damon braces sure, they will help you widen your dental arch. You didn’t get any extractions right? Because it ultimately is up to you, I would really recommend expanding your palate, unless you think it’s already wide 10-12 teeth smile.

Marpe/MSE first to widen your maxilla, and then damon braces to straighten your top teeth and match your bottom teeth.

And are you planning to get a bimax/trimax in the future?

elaborate please
just look up lower expanders, they are usually used while you're younger for this issue but i'm sure there are still viable expanders that would work.

Distraction-Assisted Mandibular Expansion aka DAME which is for more severe cases ofc
