Completely destroys your recovery but training 6 times a week had probably done that anyway

I believe the overall fatigue from the workout can harm it too
you see people say that but only noticed positives compared to doing 4x a week, I just do 2 or 3 sets per muscle group dependant on if i want to prioritize it or if its easy to split (2 sets incline press + 1 set chest fly is easier to recover from then 3 sets leg exstensions)

Gym is better than MMA for aesthetics, there's no good reason to switch to MMA besides personal enjoyment
If you're big enough you're going to avoid most potential fights anyways

Nope. Jiu jitsu at least 4 times a week will maintain it, plus you wont be a mega gym rat fag. Don’t go straight into MMA or else you will get fucked in the ass. Do at least 6-12 months of either kickboxing or wrestling, then transition into the opposite base and start MMA once you have mastered one thing. This is coming from someone who has been doing MMA for 3 years and has had multiple fights. Start with a base first - don’t go straight into MMA. Good luck.

So I can start mma after 2 years of highschool wrestling and being a state champ?

Of course. Wrestling is the hard part so you can dominate in mma after a couple months of basic striking.

Start in the shitty BJJ one then. Join the MMA gym after like 6 months if the BJJ gym is really that bad.

Do it if you want to and think you'll enjoy it, but keep in mind that you're handicapping your future gains

will it even handicap gains if you dial in recovery and eat high carb

If you had no fatigue issues from training 6x a week reducing the frequency may reduce your gains, especially on roids where you're reducing the potential gains of your current cycle, once you're off cycle reducing frequency and doing something else would be a fine idea afaik

i mean it’ll burn calories fast which can potentially kill your gains

just make sure you dont go hard sparring
