Im obese lolIf you eat a lot of shit, like chocolate bars, candy, snacks, soda and so on, and try to do a caloric deficit while on puberty, you might not get the essencial nutrients, harming your growth potential. But only because these type of foods have a lot of calories for so little nutrients and energy. But if you eat "normal food", such as chicken, meat, fish and so on, and do a caloric deficit, you shouldn't have problem at all. But i'd do this as a teenager only if i was fat and had a slow metabolism.
how old?Im obese lol
i was 5’9 back then im now 16 havent grown since then. i am only 1 inch taller than my dad. all my young relatives are 6’0+.How tall?
16, almost 17how old?
It is well known that micronutrient deficiencies change the development of intelligence and iodine is no exception. Lacking in iodine during human development causes a fall, in average, of 12 IQ points
Yes. Teenagers should never go on a cut srs.

but will it stunt growth tho?One of the things that i most regret in my life was being very fat at 15-17 yo. Lose weight right now bro. Stop the junk food and little snacks. Eat protein and good food and do some sports. Swimming is the best option tbh ngl. Go to the gym. Just stop being fat.
ONLY EAT WHEN YOU'RE HUNGRY. Try to not eat because of anxiety.

i want to lose wieght so i stop hating myself, but ill hate myself more if i dont reach my genetic potential
This is not true at all. It's unbelievable how much misinformation circulates on this forum. Most men have reached 99% of their final height by age 17, and it's uncommon for a man to grow past age 18. Some men even stop growing as early as age 14. In the future, please don't comment on something you know nothing aboutYou don't stop growing till age 18-19
Do you have a source on the iodine and IQ lowering?Being in a calorie deficit isn't necessarily the problem, the problem is being in a nutrition deficit. So you can most definitely cut out the sugar, choclate and soda.
Also, you shouldn't cut too hard probably, because to maximize nutritional intake, you actually have to consume quite a bit of calories. If you don't eat diary or fish and you're in a iodine deficiency you can permanently lose 15 IQ points.
Generally speaking I agree with this:

That's only the average growth. It doesn't fit to an individual person. Those who had late puberty will keep growing between 17 and 20 to varying degrees (sometimes a lot more than 0.5-1 inch) while others will grow an insignificant amount or not at all. The average is the amount of growth between these, and is different from the median because the growth isn't normally distributed like height is.
according this study by cdc, most people grow from 0.5-1 inch from 17-20
ive researched this topic extensively and normally individuals grow up to 1 inch max after 17-20. your point is invalid, we still GROW at this stage. That's only the average growth. It completely depends on the person. Some will still grow at age 18 but others will have stopped years earlier and won't grow even a millimeter after 16. Of course there still may be growth, but there might not. I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. I am talking about natural height growth btw, not theoretical height increase via HGH/AI useive researched this topic extensively and normally individuals grow up to 1 inch max after 17-20. your point is invalid, we still GROW at this stage.
he and I could grow 2 inches, or 2 mm, we dont know. but there still may be growth.
