Will expansion orthodontics pull my mandible forward at 16

I’m going to get braces on my lower teeth to fix my overjet and I am wandering if it’s going to make a small difference in my mandibular growth. Even tough I’m 16 my face is far from fully developed and I’m still going through puberty
