Pretty sure it gives the illusion of a shorter midface or face in general at least.

any type of openbite correction, whether it is posterior or anterior will shorten the face length slightly.

think about it. go in a mirror and open your mouth every so slightly, and your face will get longer. correcting an open bite will do the opposite

Lifefuel? Do you know the best way to fix it without fucking up the maxilla and all that shit like braces tend to do?
Invisalign, right?

I would say you need some sort of skeletal expansion. In my case, for my openbite, i'm getting MSE to split my top jaw open, and get like 8-10mm of expansion.

Then, i'm doing Invisalign on my lower jaw to upright my teeth. This will close my bite and shorten the lower third, bringing the chin to
philtrum ratio closer back to normal.

Edit: also a long face is likely also due to extruded molars, so people often fix long faces with TAD's, and use elastics attached to them to push their molars back up into their gums, making the face height shorter.
