it's a grey area
if you order from the indian warehouse, there's a chance your package will get seized. but that's it. and they will give you a refund. mine got seized by customs so they gave me store credit and I ordered from turkey.
it's kinds like buying meds when you're on holiday. if customs notice, you'll have your stuff seized and that's it.

yeah packages from india go through customs but even then the chance is low. I got unlucky. some countries are stricter than others too.
