I know a lot of you have followed my crazy ascension, and next I’ll be getting a Lefort I, canthoplasty, and lower lid retraction. But something I’ve been wondering is whether I’ll ever actually feel confident in myself.
Right now, I genuinely feel physically sick if someone suddenly pulls out a phone to take a photo. If my hair isn’t perfect or my eyebrows aren’t freshly dyed, I immediately become self-conscious. It’s exhausting constantly feeling like I have to control every little detail before I can be seen.
Do you think that mindset ever goes away? Is there a point where you stop obsessing over every angle and every photo, and just exist comfortably? I look at male models who seem to get photographed from the weirdest angles and still look effortlessly good, and I can’t help but wonder if I’ll ever reach that kind of confidence—or if I’ll always be chasing perfection.
