will Invisalign and elastics make things worse?

i have a slight overbite and some teeth crowding went to the orthodontist today and said i'll get Invisalign and elastics in bout a month and ill have it on for 12-15 months, will this fuck me over or make things worse, jaw rescission, chin rescission, etc or give me better foward growth etc
