If you're recessed and have sleep apnea at night, will jutting your jaw out as you sleep help give you better sleep quality? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes because they literally sell devices that force your jaw to jut out to help you sleep better but I would just like some confirmation.

You will die of TMJ.

Do you have sleep apnea or just mouth breathe during night?

If you have sleep apnea you qualify for a bimax

Yes, jutting jaw will open your airway more. But I am curious how you are going to do that unconsciously while asleep without a splint.

Not really, jutting jaw forward takes forces off bones and instead puts them on muscles so you are less likely to develop TMD. You can still develop muscular TMJD but your joints will be pressured less which is good

This video explains it well. With jaw jutted forward (same as in repositioning splint) your joints are not in socket and they are not as pressured
