depends on the size/location of your new crib and the car you drive, ceteris paribus

yes but all the money wasted on rent can be used for surgery and buying a house in the future. when you're 25-30 it's not so much a statusmax to live in a small apartment. it's better to live with your parents while they still allow it because you're basically saving $1000 a month which is 12k/year and 120k in 10 years.

Depends on your relationship with your family IMO. Lets assume you're not fuking (at your age you gotta be Chad or have insanely low standards to have consistent sex).

Number one benefit of living alone is the freedom - nobody nags you, you decide everything on your own, when to have company over etc. Play music as loud as you want within the law etc.

If your parents are really chill and doesn't nag you, and maybe even someone you like being around, then this benefit is pretty minor.

Major downside is obviously the cost. If you stay living at home you should definitely be smart about the excess cash - don't spend it on consumption, put it in a index fund or something.

I moved out at age 16, it was at the time a very slight statusmax in that I could host parties, be automatically included in social stuff cause I could offer people a place to stay etc. I'd say this effect was totally gone by the age of 20 though. And it wasn't like a huge life booster or something. But I did enjoy the freedom.
