Will my new braces ruin my face

I have a fairly good mid and lower third I recently got braces to fix my teeth, my upper palate is wide to where i have a gap but my lower palate is crowded, i opted for traditional braces only stripping my teeth by 0.3 mm my ortho said theres nothing to worry about but will it ruin my face, i did not get elastics and no extractions of any teeth.

He also said i did not need expansion due to expansion making the jaw uneven and too wide when i asked.
