I got an expander yesterday. Not marpe not mse a regular expander. This expander has like plastic on it which makes it so i cant bite down fully. Will this fuck up my face? Im going too have this for 6-12 months so will I get downward growth or something like that because its hard to have correct toung posture and biting down. High iq only

if it makes you nose breath then its not gonna fuck up if its not then yes and you only get downward growth if its long periods of time of horrible tongue posture usually 2 years or 1.5 years for it to be noticeable i believe

Stop with these BUZZWORDS and do some research yourself, but to answer your question, you're fine! You got an RPE (Rapid Palatal Expander). The plastic ones are to use for people that there maxilla has not fused yet, so I am guessing you are younger than 15-16. This is why you don't need something more inovasive like a MARPE....
