Short answer: Yes, this absolutely still works.

Realistic answer: No, it won't work for you. 99% of people don't have what it takes to create an AI startup, here's why.

First of all you have to adknowledge that Lovable or any other web code slop is probably one of the WORST tools you can use right now for "Vibecode" web design, Claude exists and it's 20 dollars a month, that's chump change compared to the money that you can make in this niche. These influencers are just trying to get you to click their links or use their codes, if you believe a word that comes out of their mouths about this new "cutting edge AI tool" you have already lost.

Second of all, 99% of the people I try to put onto this method quit within a few weeks, keep in mind that I started my AI agency back in Novemeber 2025 and I had to put in many hours a day after school since then to make enough to live a "normal" lifestyle (I make about 5k a month after taxes, I am 17 btw).

The main thing that is most discouraging is deployment, 50% of skids can't figure out how to deploy shit to the web without relying on Lovable slop overpriced hosting, even less can even figure out how to configure a domain or obtain an SSL certificate. Web design isn't as simple as "Muh html file that Claude wrote lives on the web now." It's never been that simple, you still have to do work. This isn't even mentioning the backend or payment integration or SEO you'd have to do at a clients request.

So, now that you are maybe the 5% of teenagers who thinks they are going to get rich off selling websites to old people, you have officially reached the fucking hell phase of an AI startup, Sales and Cold Outreach. You will be humiliated, embarrassed, shaky, told to kill yourself, every single day your low T voice ass tries to sell this to any business owner. When I started out I made over ONE HUNDRED calls before I even got a WARM-ISH lead. They then proceeded to never follow up on me and block me. Now, in April 2026, I still only have a handful of clients.

The most IMPORTANT part to this business model (or any business model really) is trust, after the absolute hell that is cold outreach I've built my business's social media and collected enough testimonials that people start to respect me when they do research during the "warm-lead phase" I still get the phone slammed in my ear everyday.

TLDR: No, It won't work for you, 99% of the people on this forum don't have the patience or the humility, and are just looking for a quick buck.

try reaching out to indian fitness coaches overseas, i made a quick 150 bucks off them selling a pretty decent and SEO optimized website about their services, used the money on cigarettes and crypto
