will thumbpulling mess up my teeth

so i’ve already been through orthodontic treatment (although my mouth is still asymmetrical jfl so i’ll get some sort of surgery to correct that eventually) and have been issued a normal plastic retainer to wear every night for bed but only for my upper teeth. for my lower teeth there’s just a small metal bar behind the front teeth. anyways my questions are
1. will thumbpulling objectively mess my teeth up
2. will my retainer interfere with thumbpulling progress and will it limit forward maxillary growth

for context i’m almost 15 so my maxilla is definitely still very malleable but it is really flat

no it shouldn't mess up your teeth as long as you pull from the bone and if your palate expands enough to outgrow the retainer then get another one but i doubt this will happen just don;t pull the teeth only bone
