Will wearng extra clothes when the wheather is really hot make my body more resistant to heating?

I mean, will I overtime stop feeling so hot or am I just stressing myself for no benefit

I know that exposing yourself to cold weather will increase the percentage of brown fat in your body, and thus make you more resistant to cold weather. I suspect the opposite is true, but not sure.
