Yeah, he wears lifts or elevator shoes at special events and on the red carpet too look taller, many celebrities do this, he didn't look like he had any special shoes during filming, because he didn't need to - he only had scenes with a little girl, taking her to school, and walking through a crowd of Romanian extras(and Romanians are some of the shortest people in Europe anyway).
