It has been a long time since I've seen the snow.
Every snowflake I see, slowly falling down and softly landing onto the vast white blanket of snow reminds me of good memories.
Reminiscence of a past where I want to come back and relive those once again. Nothing is more soothing than the cold sense of belonging of snow. People tend to forget the end of the year signifies conclusion.
Where the winter cold and weather promises a new beginning, burying what caused us suffering and regret. We forget that, even though the blizzards and snowstorms come and go, we get to snuggle upon the warmth of our home and stare onto the oblivion outside.
Each speckle of snow hits the window.. nothing is compared. It melts, it freezes, it begins anew.
A snowflake is a spectacle where no flake is identical. Each hexagonal pattern shows creativity and individual design, made by the chaos of the snowstorm. People are like snowflakes. We are unique, we are made through chaos, and we are fragile. Even the strongest snowflakes can melt away. And yet... we get to see the lucky ones thrive in the cold. What makes them value such chaos? What makes them so innocent?
As I walk out and visit the blanket of snow, my boots shovel through the deep. There is nothing more beautiful than feeling the cold's bitter sweetness. Every time we step, every time it moves, it records our movement. It never forgets our first mark. It freezes our tears. Maybe the snow is nature's way of remembrance.
continued.. I stand there, motionless. I feel the empty ambience of snow around me.
The loneliness of winter tells me it's story.
The moments it had, the mistakes it's made, the memories it kept. The blizzard is it's rage, but the snowstorm is it's weep.
But when it's gentle, it calms itself with silence. I want to share that silence.
A smile is much more than just a welcoming. It can also mean the end of a cycle. The snow may not smile, but it will listen to your cries, shouts, and worries. The silence of winter will always be your comfort. The sky is your canvas, the distance is your dream. The snow is your blanket, and the flakes are your companions.
Never forget the winter's loneliness.
