Wisdom teeth in or out?

Just got X-rays done of my wisdom teeth and the doctor recommends me removing them for hygiene sake since they are easy to get a cavity. The tops are all the way in and the bottom is part way in, my dad said they seem straighter than his which he still has with no issue so he is open to discussing not removing them and suggested I just get the dentist to put barrier on them so I don’t get cavities.

Obviously the thing I’m most concerned about above my health is what it will change appearance wise and if it makes me more or less attractive. I assume less but just asking anyways

Can I actually go ask them what I can do to fix my recession? People online ofc say double jaw surgery and before/after pics I’ve seen support that but compared to an actual surgeon they aren’t as educated
