I've read various opinions on wisdom teeth, some claim that when they come out, they make your jaw bigger and wider, and some claim that having them removed will make your cheeks more hollow

Whats your opinion?

Never get extractions, ask your orthodontist for options that allow you to keep the teeth, they will probably recommend surgery of some kind.

What idiot said this? Maybe for a day when your mouth swells up and you look like you had an allergic reaction to your boyfriend's dick. Other than that, less bones = smaller face = less attractive. It's over if you remove your wisdom teeth.

I've heard really good arguments that keeping them in provides better support and that we only take them out because our cucked palate widths prevent us from having them in
pretty goddamn sure our ancestors didn't have issues with this, they certainly had wider palates
I'm going to feed my kids meat still on the bone, make them chew the bones, and never take their wisdom teeth out dead serious

Never heard of removing it making the jaw look bigger.

However it CAN make your face more angular/V shaped.

What? What bone do we have that's there to divide nutrition into smaller bits?
What made you think that this is the function I was referring to? Teeth support the shape of your palate and therefore the rest of your face just like bones do. Its a known phenomenon in medicine that if you remove all of a person's teeth then the structure of their jaw will change over time and get worse.

straight-up false.

Wisdom teeth serve an important part in the construction of your mandible. I'm not a super-fan of the whole mewing thing but its facts that ancient peoples who had better posture & diets didn't need them removed & it is a modern age health problem. I'm really not sure how having them removed would work but it probably wouldn't make you more attractive.

There for a reason.

Most underrated type of teeth

imo, a theory I thought of my own, is, that wisdom teeth help forward growth

let us say you are healthy, have all teeths and proper developement of teeth through nutrition and resistance in chewing

wisdoms push your whole alevoar bridge and teeth forward and by proper chewing you still keep them straight

I think wisdom teeth could be abused for lower jaw growth during childhood and puberty

Also if you would have proper dental arch, they wouldnt hurt anyways

Natural Herbst appliance tbh

Is that really a fact? I thought supporting the shape of the palate was the tongues job.

Wisdom teeth can get inflamed, they can cause serious health problems long term if they don't fit in your mouth.

I'd say remove them if they don't fit in your mouth or they cause problems, don't remove them if they perfectly fit in your mouth and cause no problems.

Thank god many dudes in my class are going to remove them

I have all 4 wisdoms in, does that make me at least 5/10 looking bone wise?
Does that mean I have good forward growth of the mandible if I have 4 wisdoms? I thought I look recessed.

Yes it is, like I said if you take all the teeth out the jaw gets fucked up

idk if im retarded but I thought that op didn't mean extracting them with "come out", since he mentioned removing them after.

I think he meant when they come in (as in they appear instead of them not existing) the jaw grows, and I believe that's actually correct

I lucked out on teeth-genes and got perfectly straight teeth and 4 wisdom teeth while never having had braces or anything.

Meanwhile 50% of my peers have had braces, mostly for cosmetic purposes. Lots of them get teeth extractions because otherwise it would fuck up their teeth due to lack of space aswell, etc. I feel like I have been cheated on because I could've had a major competitive advantage when 50% of my peers would've had crooked and shit-tier teeth if they hadn't been saved by braces.
