yes it causes bone resorption in the skull, more specifically the dental arches on the maxilla and jawbone.
It quite literally shrinks your face and makes everything smaller, which messes with your looks as well as health (narrower airway potentially)

don't pull unless the cost of leaving it in is greater than the harms of removing it. all your teeth serve a purpose
