Okay so I am supposed to get my wisdom teeth removed 6 months before my double jaw surgery and I was wondering if this is going to cause even more recession or if the double jaw surgery will prevent that. I had hoped that the surgery would provide enough room so that I could keep them. They aren’t impacted or anything but some haven’t erupted yet and some only partly. I want to keep them if at all possible but if it makes no difference then I’ll get them taken out. I also don’t want them out because that delays my surgery date by 6 months.

Surgeries created to make you look like you not removed any teeth, that's why you need remove them first

Removed wisdom teeth > recession > surgery fixed recession (kinda)

Sure but why the removal in the first place? Like I said there isn’t really anything wrong with them so why give me more recession to only fix part of it. Wouldn’t I be better off keeping them

I don't know, but I do know that, more teeth = better looking, just keep as many teeth as possible
