Currently 16 and a half, my orthodontist suggested pulling 2 of my wisdom teeth out because they impact my bite (one side bites first, which probably [i do not have any experience on this topic so thats why im assuming] caused my facial asymmetry and my overlapping 2 front teeth. Her full suggestion was pulling out the wisdom teeth that were impacting my bite and then get braces to correct the front teeth and the bite. Ive been thinking on going back and asking for marpe, also i would appreciate if there is any ideas on how to fix the mild chin recession. What should i do?

be careful with braces though, a lot of shitty orthodontists would pull your upper jaw back to improve your bite at the cost of you becoming a recessed cuck

I've heard that elastics may help a bit, but for the most part it can't be done without surgery. Good for you dont need to move it forward, as there is literally no room to move your lower jaw forward without moving the upper too.

alright so regarding the overlapping front teeth and the asymmetries, should i remove the wisdom teeth and get some type of appliance that wont recess me but straighten my teeth? I can live with the chin recession until surgery because it is not that bad

I don't think that fixing up your bite will have any meaningful impact on your chin, and it's not even really recessed, at least on an x-ray, but if you fill like it is you can look up to a genioplasty (bit its an overkill in your case) or a fat graft to add a few mm to your projection. need some normal pics to better understand what your side looks like though.

appreciate it, would fixing bite alignment help with the asymmetry? and if so should i remove the wisdom teeth to improve my bite (2 teeth)

considering that one of the sides bites first yeah. but overall aside from fixing your smile and a minor assymetry (one of your masseters will be more developed than the other cuz one of the sides bites first). but overall I believe it to be a rather functional change. fucked up bite is very likely to cause your enamel to be damaged a lot faster with aging that it normally would

appreciate it, wouldnt removing the wisdom teeth cause bone reabsorption?
