I’m trying to get Invisalign to correct my slight overbite. But, when I go to the dentist today, he said that I MUST get all my 4 wisdom teeth removed before getting them.

Now I heard a lot of story about people descending to fucking subhuman after getting them removed. But getting this invisalign to correct my overbite and pitentially expand my palate even more.

Thoughts?

do not take them out

why though?
im not sure on the science but it does make your face worse and less projected, dont remove them unless you have too

I feel like the invisalign will make the other teeth become straight, which will fill in the gaps of the removed wisdom teeth

I have no idea about the science behind this shit tho. Overbite kind of nerf me so I kinda want to fix it

why though?
the teeth support bone without them the bone will move in to fill the gap cucking your projection and ramus

good luck being reccesed asf in a few years

I looked better before my wisdom teeth came in meaning in my case removing them will ascend me.

so it’s really case by case

whatever you do, DO NOT TAKE THEM OUT. Your jaw will recess since your wisdom teeeth have already taken place. You will lose tons of bone. Keep your crooked teeth and find an ortho who wont extract.

That’s not how it works, your jaw only recesses if you have them taken out when you’re in puberty or if you get braces after where they perform “camouflage orthodontics”

Plus wisdom teeth removal is a prerequisite for getting double jaw surgery.

Also if your wisdom teeth are impacted they will make your paranasal and lower cheek region fuller.

Models literally used to have their wisdom AND premolars extracted to get less cheek support and thereby mogger hollowness. The wider your bite the more ethnic/bloated/subhuman and fuller your face looks. It’s good for women trying to prioritize youth and fuller cheeks. Not men trying to look dimorphic

I got them removed at 14 years and 8 months old. 6 month chronic jaw pain

Started puberty pretty early

Yeah that’s unfortunate. No one should have braces or extractions before 24.

getting them out won’t affect your face, DO NOT let them take anything else out though, you’ll be double fine if your already past puberty

make sure they don’t flatten your curve if spee or some dumb shit like that, also ask them about making sure your jaw keeps shape and not just your teeth being straight, cousin got braces and his teeth are straight but his jaw is slightly off. luckily i didn’t need braces or wisdom teeth out when i was younger so i don’t have much personal experience.

Most get theirs removed at 16-19

The longer you keep it in, the more it’s digging deeper and causing bone resorption. At least for me because it hit my nerve line on the left side

It’s actually good for me because my dad has like a reallly wide face.

@tinderhacker I consulted with many people on org. They said it shouldn’t do anything at my age. I think it’s just extracting+ retracting rather than during puberty.

Yeah that’s the main thing. Extractions are one thing but getting camouflage orthodontics right after extractions is why most people look like shit these days. Just extractions even in puberty shouldn’t be that bad as long as one has good oral posture and mews.

Once I found about the extract and retract shit, I’m never getting braces 😂

Bone resorption happens either through excessive grinding (teeth) or tmj issues (condylar resorption). Wisdom teeth unless severely impacted to the point where it cuts off a vessel or impinges on a nerve shouldn’t be taken out during puberty. Your nerve pain was a good reason tbh since pain for excessively long periods of time can cause inflammation and retroactive bone resorption.

There’s actually braces for just the front of the teeth. To make them perfectly straight. The retraction happens when elastics are used to anchor the top jaw with the bottom jaw and bring the top jaw back. That is what creates subhumans. Getting braces just for frontal crowding should not have ANY negative effects

I’ve been teeth pilled recently seeing twitch streamer Marlon. Having straight white teeth is one of the greatest indicators of health beauty and youth.

It caused inflammation, chronic jaw seizures and pain, and probably some degree of bone restoration.

Like it was every day I was in absolute pain on the left side. Prob hitting nerves.

I’m probably gonna get the top ones removed at 15-16 years old

My wisdoms don’t look impacted at all in this case though.

They gave me the option to let them “slice” parts of other teeth to make space. Trying to convince my parents to let me do that since they think it’s giga bad
