All four impacted. I need to get upper two removed (its affecting aligners' overbite correction process; not stopping, just slowing it down). Any advice on what i should do? Im still in puberty.

I dont think im getting lower ones removed which is a big relief, but im skeptical about the upper ones as they might affect cheekbones (acc to .org).

Im not knowledgeable enough on this topic, so any sort of help will be appreciated.

So from my experience, I got rid of my wisdom teeth 2 years ago when I was 16, and I regret nothing. It didn’t had any affect on my jaw or cheekbones. I got them removed cause they were about to make my teeth crooked.

You got all removed? Not even a slight change in appearance?

lifefuel tbh.

IT WON'T CHANGE SHIT.
I talked specifically about this with one of the best jaw surgeons in my country before getting mine removed and he told me there won't be any changes to bonemass. It's stupid pseudoscience just like mewing. Don't worry.

No, there won't be any changes in appearance. I asked him about my jaw getting narrower and my ramus getting shorter and he said there is no chance that it will change anything in that regard. If anything, it will improve appearance due to lower inflammation. But it depends on age too, if you're 13 then yeah, it might alter your jaw development.

Don't remove anything, stop drinking soda and eat more alkalizing foods, caries goes away pretty quickly

Also, the position of the teeth doesn't affect anything, not that they are crooked or anything else, they are positioned as they should be and that's it

but dentist recommends i remove them.

They get paid for removing teeth
i know. but the dentist himself is a really close friend of my dad, so i doubt he's doing it for $.

his main job is to correct my overbite actually, i went to him today and that's when he found out abt the wisdom tooth issue — its slowing down the aligners' work of correcting my bite.

so he said its better we remove them.

I don't know bhai, I will never remove my teeth

The fact that they slow down the aligners doesn't mean that they don't work at all, I don't know, tell him to give you another month or two so that it can correct your bite without extraction

Should not be a problem. I got mine removed when I was almost 17 years old. No problems to this day.
But what if i do end up fucking my jaw? i trust you but im still paranoid about it. so i thought of bone grafts. your opinion?

sry for late reply btw :feelswhy:

got mine out 8 months ago now and nothing has changed, as long as your mandible is fully grown nothing will happen. just make sure to be careful to avoid getting a dry socket, don't fuck with straws.
