But the fright inducing part is that what if there is a hell below and I’m sent there to burn forever?

You see, there’s simply no escape from pain. It’s there no matter what. If you live, you’ll have pain, if you die you’ll have pain.

That could happen if you commit suicide, you might get away with a technicality like "suicide by cop" - you act crazy, take some hostages let's say, then expose your head, and they could shoot you.
Then when you go to the afterlife and check your file, they will see you were shot by a cop, so they could send you to heaven.
