With bimax getting botched so much (just look through this forum)/not even changing that much for some people, why not sliding genio?

This forum obsesses over bimax, but there isn't much talk about sliding genio. It's cheaper, takes less time, and doesnt involve orthodontics. It's as easy/costly as getting a rhinoplasty + much less things can go wrong. Unless you have severe recession, why not get a sliding genioplasty over bimax? No doubt the people in this forum would have recommended this man bimax, however look what a simple horizontal chin movement did to his face.

Some guys seriously need a bimax but if you have a normal bite then yeah genio will be more practical.

I mean, genio isn't going to move them forward, you know that.

genio can't fix class 3 bite. most people have a mix of recessed maxilla and chin. so bimax is the optimal solution is most cases

Can you send me an example of a class 3 bite? I dont think most people have that based on what I see when I search for it, but I could be wrong. Based on these photos, these people need jaw surgery but these look kind of extreme.

Of course it won't move their face forward, just a significant part of their face. Look at the guy in the photo, even after genio his face doesn't have good forward growth and hes not slaying anything. But he went from subhuman to MTN through a relatively easy surgery where I see guys on reddit who went through a super long/expensive process for bimax and they look almost the same. My advice would be to consult a chin surgeon who can show you an accurate image of what you would look like after genioplasty (cost me about $200) and decide from there.

it's when the top teeth are behind the lower teeth. overtime it caves in the maxilla. even people without it can have caved in maxillas if they have narrow palates.

you'll notice people with class 3 bite even though their lower jaw is visually forward, it's actually pathetically underdeveloped due to being trapped by the retruded maxilla. they always have baby ramuses/rami

my ramus is pretty tall for a guy who's class 3
Is this hope for an ascension?

it probably means you suffer to a lesser degree and need less movement to fix your deformity. but i'd still go for >2cm movement. even if it means moving your bottom jaw forward too.

Your name is big nose, small chin and instead of putting money to do genio + rhino in one procedure youre going to do bimax and risk a massive botch.

Nigga doesn’t know what a maxilla is jfl

Caved in midface is the hardest bimax fix

Now show me an example of someone with a recessed chin that is still good looking. It's not possible. Chin matters more bro.
Nigga you are dense af. If someone is recessed they shouldn’t just slap on a fucking chin with genio. They need bimax, you obv don’t understand the reasons why someone would need bimax as opposed to genio, there are plenty, and there are different variations of bimax. Mine will include a genio when I get it done, and some rotation because of downward growth/long midface. You have plenty to learn.

I need 5mm advancement
20mm would be the biggest lefort in history, no way half of that doesn't just relapse anyway

with relapse it's alright, but with too small movement will be regret.

just lol if you're not goblin shark maxing

I have asymmetrical jawline cause one side of my face is recessed due to mouthbreathing. Should I still get a Bimax or genio?

Similar jawline to me. I have the same problem btw. I’m getting a genioplasty, but it’s up to you. Orthodontists advised me against it + the risks of it being botched + the cost/time it takes swayed me against jaw surgery. From your picture I think a genio would be good, but other people on this forum would likely disagree.

The head tilting in the after photo has a bit of an affect on perceived results
