the only benefit she can get with that plea is saving her own life if they have the death penalty.

If you are deemed insane you still have to complete your sentence, AND you wont be able to leave unless deemed fit to enter society again from a Dr. So basically you have to go to mental hospital/jail with people who are actually insane
