I just saw under social media post that a girl calling some buff model out for "skipping leg day". I've had a girl make the same comment to me irl.

Are women trying to keep men's egos in check by reminding them of their flaws, when they see them trying to improve their appearance?

It would make sense since women are the ones getting all the attention and compliments about appearance, and some guy trying to look better means he's trying to disrupt the established social balance.
