Correct. Everyone can be funny. Everyone can put on a good act. I’m gonna be 6’5 forever. Looks do fade and money is essentially the most universal form of human energy because it touches all aspects of life.

Well, the simple reason is that if looks were superficial, it wouldn't be so important in today's world. Good looks indicate health and fertility two components crucial for survival and reproduction. The core and deepest reason for living of all organisms on earth is simply to survive and reproduce. That little micro bacteria making you sick? It's just mindlessly reproducing in your body, killing your cells and making you sick. Humans are like that bacteria, just complex, bigger and twisted. Birds like bright flowers and bugs like flowers that smell sweet: how else will they know the pollen is good and the flower is healthy?

True, but some things are more close to the core. Looks > attraction > reproduction. Personality > Funny > Bonding/Closeness > Reliability/Trust > Survival. Personality is complexly linked to core values making it more of an afterthought.
