Autism diagnosis is fairly objective. If you eye track autistic people while looking at pictures of people for example they look at a different areas than NT people do.

I had an 18 YO female autistic coworker and I'm 90% sure she was on the spectrum. At first she seemed normal, maybe a little shy. But eventually I noticed that when things got stressful she went full blown aspie 0 eye contact social awkwardness mode.


Aspie Men on the other hand it seems really black and white. A minority of them live a normal life, are high achieving in school and work, struggle socially but learn to blend in. But most of them end up as neckbeard basement dwellers.
