Doesn't help that every woman has countless men lined up willing to date her while dating for an average man is like a barren desert. No. It is the asymmetry of the dating market that makes men oneitis pron. If a man has good looking women flirting with him on the regular it would be impossible for him to have a oneitis. And by oneitis, I mean a girl that you are fixated with but barely know, or don't know at all, (not your girl friend)
