Then 2014 which was the first one I remember fully.

Most finals in football competitions ( UCL, euros, World Cup ect) are quite shit in general tbh.

Finals on their own aren't supposed to be the most entertaining... You're supposed to enjoy the whole tournament from the group stage onwards

Because stakes are so high, players are gonna be pretty nervy in the final & there won't be many brilliant moments

That’s why I’m saying as a whole 2018 was probably the best. There were lots of great goals ( volleys, free kicks ect), lots of come backs such as Japan vs Brazil, Spain vs Portugal , two underdog golden generations ( Belgium and Croatia getting very far), very close games such as Argentina and France in the round of 16 ect

That’s what made it so good.

Based on what you said, I think I will give 2018 & 2022 a tie now that I think about it

22 is mostly remembered around Argentina's games but there was also it's fair shit of good shit
Japan beating Germany & Spain
Morocco mad run
Croatia still having it (and beating Brazil)
Belgium imploding
Kane penalty miss
Argentina getting fucked in the first group game and everyone thinking they're finished
