Most of the so-called prophecies in the Bible, and much of the Bible in general are just a bunch of vague sentences that has multiple different interpretations, Christians themselves cannot even agree on what many passages even mean. Christians in the first century already believed that they were living in the end times and that Yeshua Ha Moshiach was going to come back in their lifetime.

Jesus himself in this passage told his followers that he was going to return in their lifetime and told them not to be distracted by the things of the world.

Paul of Tarsus told his followers not to get married or have children unless if they really cannot control their sexual desires because Jesus is coming soon:

"Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek to be free. Are you free from a wife? Do not seek a wife. But if you do marry, you have not sinned, and if a betrothed woman marries, she has not sinned. Yet those who marry will have worldly troubles, and I would spare you that. This is what I mean, brothers: the appointed time has grown very short.
