This Monday marked the launch of Worldcoin, a cryptocurrency project established by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
Worldcoin's core offering is the World ID, an account exclusive to real humans. Customers sign up for a World ID through an in-person iris scan using the 'orb,' a silver ball similar in size to a bowling ball. Once the orb verifies the individual as a real human, it creates a World ID.
Tools for Humanity, based in San Francisco and Berlin, is the company behind Worldcoin. During its beta phase, the project gathered 2 million users, and with the recent launch, it expanded 'orbing' operations to 35 cities in 20 countries. Participants in specific countries receive Worldcoin's cryptocurrency token, WLD, as an incentive.
The World IDs' cryptocurrency aspect is crucial, as blockchain technology preserves privacy and prevents control or shutdown by a single entity. World IDs can be utilized to differentiate between real individuals and AI bots, such as generative AI chatbots like ChatGPT.
Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced its intention to list Worldcoin, with trading set to open tentatively on Monday at 0900 GMT.
Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, envisions that Worldcoin can address the economic impact of generative AI, such as supporting universal basic income (UBI) to combat income inequality. As AI takes on more human tasks, World IDs can help prevent fraud in UBI distribution. While Altman admits that a world with UBI is far off, Worldcoin lays the groundwork for potential future implementation, aiming to experiment and find solutions.
Today People voluntarily lined up to have their eyeballs scanned with a "Worldcoin orb" to get a digital ID.
OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman writes on X that "one person is getting verified every 8 seconds."
Despite all that humanity has experienced since 2020, it seems like very little has been learned. Fight for yourself and your family, make sure you're ready for a really bad time, we can't count on the masses, they were brainwashed a long time ago. Crypto is a trap made by the globalists. It's crucial to be fully prepared for whatever may come.
Earn money through crypto trading, but don't assume it's for the greater good, it merely serves as a springboard for the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) agenda. As of now, the only crypto that can be trusted to genuinely benefit humanity is Monero.
@Ai Impact It seems Ai has indeed a impact on the world but not in a good way.
