tldr i still live with my parents who both work in medicine so i cant let them find my shit, so i am creating my own fridge out of an old home security box thats inside my closet and bolted to the wall behind a door so that it can virtually never be found
heres what im working with:
Looks innocuous right? best part about this metal box thing is that it used to have a key lock on it, but i hacked it off with pliers so that means i can put my own lock on it and prevent anyone from getting inside of it, which isnt going to happen since no one is going inside my room, then into my closet, and then looking behind the closet door.
BOM:
- Styrofoam
- TEC1-12706 Peltier Module
- 2x Heatsinks for each side of the peltier module
- W1209 12V Temperature Controller
- Noctua NH-L9i low profile cooler
- Noctua NF-A4x20 inner fan
- thermal paste
- some kind of 12v power supply
- cabinet lock to replace the one that used to be there
all of the electronics run off of 12v so this will use a single plug and the wiring can be done by a monkey so long as you know how to use a soldering iron
Total cost is just under $100
so this project is enough to keep me busy till i get my paycheck cause im $5k in debt rn and cant order the hgh until then
Ordered everything at time of posting, gonna update on build progress and shit
