I've had the fattest crush on this girl at my work for the past like 6 months. I thought it was going really well because we'd always be talking and she'd compliment me a ton and we'd be like flirting and shit and it just seemed like it was going really well. I became like insanely obsessed with her, like she became all I could think about.

She left for a month long trip right at the end of june and I just saw her for the first time since then today, it was only for like 10 minutes because her shift ended right when mine started and i came in a few minutes early.

the very first thing she said to me was "your sister's back" in reference to herself

that's already bad by itself, but all four of my managers have, on separate occasions during her trip, told me that me and her are like brother and sister, which is now making me think that they all know about it and are trying to shut me down

this is maybe the worst i've ever felt in my life she was literally everything to me and we weren't even dating

i know but its either asking her out and shooting your shot or being depressed about this, worst case she rejects you, you will be depressed for some time and move on. better then wondering what could have been while not asking her out and being like a "brother" to her
